Stopping Breastfeeding Before One Year

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends breastfeeding for at least one year. If you are unable to nurse this long, it's important that your baby still receive adequate nutrition. You may have heard that you can start your infant on cow's milk or soy and rice milk. Pediatrics guide Vince Iannelli explains why these are not healthy alternatives.
