My First Crayon Ball Recall

This product is being recalled because the small crayon balls can detach from the base and pose a choking hazard. The toy can be returned to the store where it was purchased for a full refund or you can contact the company for a replacement.

Name of Product: My First Crayon-Ball™ and My First Crayon-Ball™ Activity Set

Units: About 145,000

Manufacturer: Baja Products Inc. of Delray Beach, Fla.

Hazard: Small crayon balls can break loose from the plastic base of the products. This can pose a choking hazard to young children.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: My First Crayon-Ball™ consists of a round yellow plastic base with small red, blue, yellow, green, black, and brown crayon balls attached. My First Crayon-Ball™ Activity Set contains a round yellow plastic base with small red, blue, yellow, green, black, and brown crayon balls attached, as well as multiple scrolls of paper containing sketches meant for coloring.

Sold at: Discount and toy stores nationwide from June 2004 through March 2005 for between $2 and $5.

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should take these toys away from children immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund or call Baja Products for a replacement product.
