(3) J Baez says:

I totally agree; yerf dog sucks. I used mine like 7 or 8 times then store it for about three months and now it doesn’t run; it cranks the engine but I can’t keep it running. I’m sick of this piece of junk; what a rip off.

(4) Wil Jones says:

I thought it was just my go-kart that had problems. The front-end warped when my son hit a bump. We fixed that problem. Now it will not start. It only has approximately 50 hours or less on the engine. “Yerf Dog” you should be ashamed of your own existence.

(5) Debbie says:

I bought a 150cc yerf dog go cart for my son that is 13 years old and he was riding it and the front wheel came out of some part where the shock is and I can’t fix I got it to go back in the whole and then it came out again so the whole to big for it also it has about 30 hours on it and the battery charger and everything is good on it but it just won’t start so now my son has nothing to do now and I payed like 1,800 yerf dog is crap

I bought my sons a spiderbox 2 years ago and now I am unable to start it. I have changed everything that could possibly impact the strating but I have been unsuccessful. No one is willing to look at this cart and addiitonal parts like the air filter are no longer to be found. I agree that soemone should take this company on. Anyone a lawyer out there.

(8) Jeremiah says:

The ball joints are also trash. I had one snap
after I hit a rock. I also had the left front
spindle snap and the wheel went about 100 feet
before it hit my car. I had to custom make an
air filter. This go-cart have given me more s*!$ to fix then anything I have had.
It still runs great but the front right top ball joint is trash!I would
say to any one that wants a good go-cart dont
go yerf-dog. Unless you have alot of time money. The best go cart I have ever had was a
go-cart from wal-mart it was a murry.

Warning… Do Not buy a Yerf Dog, Spider Box go cart… IT has been a LEMON…
We can not find any one to work on the d*&% thing and it has sat in our garage collecting dust… What a waste…

(12) andy says:

I’ve had two Yerf Dog go karts-a 3203 and a spiderbox, and both have been extremely solid and reliable karts. I think the ease of finding parts for them was definitely a plus-much easier than getting parts for a Chinese kart! I mean i just type in yerf dog into ebay and over 100 results come up! bmikarts.com has enough yerf dog parts to build a kart from scratch! Go karting is a sport that does require some tinkering and stuff is bound to go wrong at some point-they’re just machines, but yerf dog has got to be some of the best karts on the market! I mean it’s a go kart not a car, what do you expect? Well i think that yerf dog is a great company that has built some quality machines, much much better than most of the other junk that’s out there!

We specialized in heavy duty parts to fix problems that you may be having with your Yerf Dog. We are NOT Yerf Dog and have no affiliation with them, but we manufacture and sell parts that will get your Yerf Dog going and will not break.

We guarantee our ball joints, spindles, A-Arm repair, rear axle for your Yerf Dog. The same for our and other heavy duty parts. Pull your Yerf Dog out, dust it off and get years of fun out of it safely.

We also offer free technical support and have many technical articles for your Yerf Dog. We also have a forum where Yerf Dog owners share information and experiences.

(18) Scott Zimmerman says:

Well now, If your go kart broke and your daughter was slightly injured… now you want the company sued? That is exactly what is wrong with country. Damn lawyers anyway. x-rays? come on, grow up, Paul. To Rod who’s car won’t start. Buy a Chevy. I’ working on a couple yerf doggies for a friend. I’ve custom built a few karts in my time. It’s a little cheesy but it’s got a good drive (CVT) like a snowmobile, way better than the old centrfical clutch. If you aren’t mecanically inclined or have a close relative who is and will work for free, you have no buisness owning a kart anyway.

June 19, 2009 at 5:00 pm
(19) Andy R. says:

amen to that scott. I’ve had a few yerf dogs, all were great, sure stuff will break every now and then, but you bough a go kart not a car. and keep in mind it’s a machine, not a car. and parts are everywhere! type “yerf dog” into ebay, over 150 new parts! try bmikarts.com too as well as buggydepot.com you haven’t done any research if you can’t find parts, so stop trashing yerf dog, it your own fault!

(22) Trevor says:

Well, I have a yerf-dog 3206 go-cart. I like it, but the rear axle broke. We called the company that use to do warranty work for them (before yerf-dog went out of buisness) and they said it was because the rear axle was made in china (and we all know how crappy things that are made in china are) and we were told that the chinese used a cheap steel for the axle. Well, the rear axle broke when my sister was riding it, and now we can’t find any QUALITY AMERICAN MADE parts for it. We are going to get an AMERICAN built axle and convert it over.

(23) TRACY MINGS says:

WE GOT OUR BOYS A YERF-DOG FOR 1,500 DOLLERS IN 2004. WHAT A WEAST OF MONEY. WHAT DID NOT BREAK ON IT BALLJOINTS, AXLE,IT DON’T START , AND THAT WAS IN A FEW MONTHS.I HAVE WELDED THE AELX BACK TOGETHER .REBILUD THE HOLD FRONTEND.NOW THE ENGINE IS MESSING UP IT GOSE ON AND ON. NOW WE KNOW WHY YERF-DOG WENT OUT OF BUISNESS.WE ONLY HAD ONE WISH FOR OUR YERF-DOG AND THAT WAS FOR KATRIAN TO TAKE IT. AND THATS F*%#ED UP BECAUSE EVEN KATRIAN DID NOT WANT IT. THE ONLY THING OUR YERF-DOG WOULD BE GOOD FOR IS STICK IT UP THERE A$$.

(27) L says:

For you guys looking for ball joints for your yerfdog I have a cheap 25.00 fix that you can buy and install yourself. Go down to your local auto parts store and buy a end link kit with the red poly bushings they sell a universal kit for 18.00 then get 1 3/4 bolts with lock nuts remove your old ball joints and put 1 red bushing in each hole on the control arm add the washers tighten bolts till bushings spread out…. done! NO MORE BALL JOINTS EVER!!! Works perfectly and will last longer too……
