Survey Says: Babies and Toddlers Aren't Sleeping Enough
Thursday October 20, 2005
Wasn't I just talking about sleep? Well, I know my toddler was getting enough, it just wasn't happening during the hours one would expect. According to this survey from the National Sleep Foundation, however, it appears many infants and toddlers aren't getting enough sleep at all. Parents reported that more than forty percent of infants and toddlers are sleeping less than the recommended 12 to 15 hours. Roughly the same number were reported to have "sleep problems" every day, such as waking up at night, resisting going to bed, having a hard time falling asleep or waking up too early.
