Dinner Ideas

Sunday March 19, 2006
Kitchen Sister is a New York City mom that has a blog with great dinner ideas. She recently posted about boxed mac and cheese, which she compared to a "bad-for-you boyfriend." I have to admit, I've had a love/hate relationship with it over the years. In the last year, however, I've switched to Annie's Organic Macaroni and Cheese or Hodgson Mills in the whole wheat varieties. This makes me feel a bit better, but not much.

At any rate, Faye at Kitchen Sister recently posted directions for making your own mac and cheese that looks a bit more complicated that the box version, but sounds like heaven. I'm going to give it a try this week, even though I'm famous for ruining sauces and gravies.

Feel free to leave a comment if you have your own mac and cheese secrets and recipes to share. And if you're sick of cooking up nuggets and pasta for your wee one, check out some of these dinner ideas from the parents on the forum.
