The child is fine now, but it's a reminder to watch out for all those little things that end up in the carpet, couch cushions and who knows where.

Little eyes see these things so much better, and no wonder -- they spend so much of their time a foot or two away from the floor. It's a good practice to get down on your hands and knees after sweeping or running the vacuum to make sure you didn't miss anything small enough to be choked on or inhaled by your child.
