Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease or Rotavirus? Or both?
Friday May 19, 2006
A reader writes describing her grandsons' symptoms and they've already been diagnosed with hand, foot and mouth disease. Both illnesses are caused by two totally different viruses and share few symptoms, so it's conceivable that the boys could have both. This is why it's important to call your health care provider when new symptoms arise even if you've already been diagnosed with one illness. Adding something new to the mix can change your course of treatment drastically.
