Homemade Baby Wipes

Saturday January 27, 2007
If you're finding your cash low around this time of year (I know I'm still paying for the holidays), or if you just like to save money, you can stop shelling out $4 a pop for baby wipes. Make your own right at home with this recipe. These can also make a good baby shower gift for frugal friends or family. Just make up a batch and print the recipe on decorative cardstock so the new parents can use it to make more.

Another benefit to making your own wipes is in choosing your own ingredients. If you're moving toward more environmentally friendly cleansers or you're going organic, you can use those and feel confident that your child isn't getting exposed to any chemicals you're eliminating from your home.

We have been using homemade wipes since Kaleb was first born and he is now 8 months old and we love them. Our little guy rarely gets a diaper rash and I think it’s due to the mildness of the wipes.

I used homemade wipes for my son throughout his baby and toddler years and they worked great!. Seemed to hold more moisture so messes cleaned up much more easily and they did seem to keep down rashes. Plus I know I saved tons of money.
