Which Disposable Diaper is Best?
Saturday February 17, 2007
Heather Corley, the Baby Products Guide here at About, has a poll running about disposable diapers. I used cloth diapers for the most part, but when I did need to use disposables, there was always one brand I preferred, even though it was a little more expensive than other brands. I'm usually a pretty frugal person, too, but frugal doesn't always mean "cheap." The diapers I loved (Huggies -- the current favorite in the poll) were my favorite because of the way they fit, because they were thin and didn't take up a lot of room under clothes and, of course, because they rarely ever leaked.
What about you? What's your favorite?

When my daughter was in nappies I only used Pampers even though it was slightly more expensive because it was leak proofed.
I use Luvs they are the extact same thing as pampers only cheaper. Try and compare pampers and luvs. They are the same look.
I loved Pampers. Even when the diaper was full, my daughter’s skin was dry. I also used loved. Just like Pampers they never leaked, however when the diaper was full my daughter’s skin was moist.

I’ve tried every brand as I have three boys. Wal-mart’s Parent’s Choice is the best store brand diaper. They don’t leak over night. Luvs and Pampers always leaked overnight. Huggies are great for leak prevention but they sag.
We preferred Pampers for the first 1.5 of our son’s life, until they changed the lining. P & G’s PR people had no clue as to what was going on when I corresponded with a few about the change. At that point, we switched to cloth diapers, and I’m so glad we did.
I’ve always used the generic ones from Costco or BJ’s. They’re great, and they’re also a lot cheaper than the name brands. I think we typically paid around $17 per case.
Currently my daughter is 2 months and 10lbs. We use Pampers swaddles for Newborns still (even though she is 10lbs) because her legs are so thin! Huggies newborns and Pampers 1 are way to big in the leg area and major leaks took place.
