Gerber Recalls Cereal Due to Choking Hazard

Gerber is recalling all boxes of Organic Rice and Organic Oatmeal cereal. The cereal may contain lumps that can't dissolve in formula, breastmilk or water and so your child could choke on those lumps as a result. All 8 ounce boxes are included in this recall, but again, it's just the organic versions and not the regular versions.

I notified Gerber on May 7 that the need to recall this product after I purchased a box of the oatmeal. I then made a complaint to the FDA on May 9 when Gerber showed no interest. On May 25 after repeated calls to Gerber they said the cereal was SAFE and they were not going to recall it. How sad they severak infants choked before they woke up and who or what made them wake up.
