On the Forum: He Won't Wear Big Boy Underpants

"My little boy, Matthew, refuses to wear the cloth underpants and just throws the biggest fit known to man. He is 25 months old, goes on the potty with no problems (knock on wood), does #1 and 2, helps to flush the toilet and says bye-bye to it as it goes down, so he's doing really well.

I'm a SAHM and when we are home, I've been letting him run around naked and then he goes when he needs to, so I don't know if this is the reason that he won't wear the big boy pants. When I've put him in the pants twice before, he has peed in them and I just told him when that happened that it's OK, don't get upset and to try better next time. He refuses to wear them and when he does have them on, refuses to let me show him what to do to pull them down so he can go. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks."
