Books on Feeding Your Baby or Toddler

My new favorite parenting book is, without a doubt, Vegan Lunch Box. Jennifer McCann has been writing about these wonderful lunches for some time, so it's nice to have a version of the blog stored handily next to my microwave. Bonus -- all the recipes in the book are ones her kid has given his highest rating. It's the best of the best.
And if you love the Bento idea, you'll find Biggie's Lunch in a Box Blog indispensable. There are so many tips there on equipment and where to find things inexpensively... the pictures alone will keep you busy for days. Some of the best information there is about using the freezer and saving time. I mean, you take one look at some of these lunches and you think, "It will take me all morning to put that together!" But then you read her tips, you realize there are lots of short cuts that will keep you efficient.
I've pulled together this quick list of some of my favorite cookbooks that can help you get started making your own baby food, planning your baby or toddler's meals, packing a healthy lunchbox and making meals that are friendly to your child as well as the rest of the family. Stay tuned for more. I have a whole stack sitting next to my desk to write about as well. (I really heart cookbooks!) And let me know -- what's your favorite book or Web site that's helped when it comes to cooking for your baby or toddler?

Thanks for the cookbook reviews - I too heart cookbooks, especially kid-friendly ones. I find The Six O’Clock Scramble to be the most helpful cookbook for getting healthy easy dinners on the table. I love the lunchbox idea! This year my oldest daughter’s preschool has been trying to cut back on waste by encouraging reuseable containers. I found the lunchbox on the cover at laptoplunches.com, they also have a cookbook but I haven’t seen it so I can’t vouch for it.
