I saw the cutest idea in September's Cookie magazine. I thought I had a minimalist measuring system at my house. It consists of a bunch of pencil marks on the wall accompanied by a date. One of these days I'm going to get around to adding numbers indicating the actual height, I swear.

Cookie's idea: Use a regular soft measuring tape like the kind that come in sewing kits and affix it to the wall. Then use personalized rubber stamps with each child's name to mark their heights on the wall beside the tape. Way cuter than what's in my hall!
