Suffice it to say, if you have a drop-side crib, it's probably going to make it on the recall list eventually. This week, they're from Pottery Barn Kids. This company is recalling all its drop-side cribs no matter what the model number (see images of all the cribs involved at their website). This comes after receiving 36 reports malfunctioning sides that resulted in seven injuries. Stop using the crib and contact Pottery Barn Kids at 877-804-3847 to get a free kit that will immobilize the drop side.

And, if you are still using a drop-side crib that hasn't been recalled and the problems remedied, I urge you to contact your crib manufacturer and press them to issue a repair kit sooner rather than later. If you've had any of the common problems with the drop-side and haven't reported it, please get in touch with the Consumer Product Safety Commission so that they will be able to work with your crib manufacturer and get the problem fixed. It really could prevent injuries and save lives.

I really wanted to use my drop side crib for my second but we turned it in and just ordered a static crib off simplybabyfurniture.com. I hope I like it as much as the drop side!! :/
