The Cozy Indoor Outdoor Portable Playard Tents Plus Cabana Kits from Tots in Mind are being recalled after the death of a 2-year-old boy. He was able to remove the plastic clips that secured the tent to the play yard so nylon ties were used to secure it instead. The child was found entrapped between the frame of the play yard and the metal rod of the tent. There have been other reports of children who were able to remove the clips and poke their necks out, but thankfully, without injury.
These tents were sold at Amazon.com, Walmart and other retailers going back as far as 2005. Tots in Mind is offering replacement clips which you can get by calling the company at 800-626-0339 or by filling out the form on their website.
