A reader posted a comment on our discussion about toddler resistance; she explains that she avoids problems with diaper changes by using pull-on diapers versus tabbed ones. With that idea, I decided to test out the new line of Huggies Little Movers Slip-On Diapers. You can read my review and post your own opinion if you've tried them yourself.

I definitely like the idea of slipping them on! I thought this would be a hit for my son and a bigger hit for myself. I even felt this would be a plus in the potty training department since my 15 month old has been attempting on a regular basis. I had to try them out. I went to the store and bought a bag of the Huggies Slip-On. Even had a coupon to make it worthwhile since I would be giving up his normal brand for the time period. Huggies had a great idea but when it came time to change him…. This is where I found a new conflict.
My son wears lace up shoes and pants on a daily basis. I realized this was a new struggle to have to deal with. Alas, Huggies has not won me over, yet. I think I will return to the slip-on when my son has reached that communication level of when he needs to potty. I don’t have a desire to have him wear the soiled diaper. For now it seems easier to deal with the regular old-fashion diaper (slipping them under his bottom and between his legs saves more time and energy for both of us). I’ve gotten pretty fast at doing this and it seems less intrusive for him.
Now, I know the Huggies Slip-On have the optional tabs that come apart but then I just have a regular diaper that I spent way too much for.
Thanks for the opportunity to review!
Thanks for your feedback, Tina. That sounds very much like my experience — awkward to change as a pull on and too expensive.
