Jack Frost and I are not really what you'd call friends. My daughter takes after me. She only likes winter for the hot chocolate. As a toddler she would mope and whine about not being able to go to the park or play outside. It took a lot of effort to snap her out of her winter blues. Luckily she was a lover of crayons, glue, and turning bits of anything into "art."
I had to set up a craft area for a toddler, but it was well worth it to see the delight in her eyes and to get the cute masterpieces that now live in our treasure box. So I encourage you to take the time to give toddler crafts a try. It may mean letting the laundry sit for a day and going with cereal for dinner so you have time to sit with your little Picasso, but trust me, the memories and the creations will be worth it.
