Helping Toddlers Through Transitions

The toddler years are, roughly, from 12 months to 36 months of age. A blink of the eye in your child's life. But at no other time will your little go through so many change in such a short period of time.

It's a magical time -- but also a bit confusing and worrisome as you try to figure out how best to help your toddler through transitions such as giving up the bottle or learning to use more words.

Another thing that makes this a tough time for parents is the fact that your little one is growing up and becoming more independent. That's wonderful and amazing ...and a bit scary. Our babies are growing up. But, of course, they are growing into wonderful children and eventually adults. We need to accept that these changes are coming. And, essentially, we need to get through our own transition -- from baby parent to big kid parent. It's tough, but in the end it will have many, many wonderful rewards.
