A blizzard passed through here over the weekend. And more snow is a coming. When you're trapped inside with little ones for days things can get tense and frustrating for everyone. A mix of boredom and curiosity can make your little restless. A room (or two) full of toys may seem to not interest her at all. Instead, she wants to pull everything out of the kitchen cabinets and wander around in your high heels. That's why I find these six simple activities using everyday items so great for winter -- trust, me, socks will delight her!
My other go-to fun for housebound toddlers are playdough games and dress up.
My favorite thing to do when it's cold outside, though, is to curl up with a great book and read-aloud with the kids. With luck, it leads to a family nap and some relaxing times together.
