Safe Co-sleeping

Thursday September 7, 2006
Despite advice from the American Academy of Pediatrics that the safest place for your baby is in an approved crib, many parents still believe strongly in the family bed. Those parents who practice co-sleeping on a daily basis are likely to know about and take the precautions to ensure their child's safety. But polls indicate that as many as 70 percent of all parents sleep with their children some or all of the time. Parents who only occassionally take their infants to bed with them are less likely to know about some of the potential hazards. If you are a casual co-sleeper or have ever had your infant with you during the night or a nap, find out how to keep these times as safe as possible.
