Why I Love Home Depot
Tuesday July 12, 2005
I try to support my local nurseries and hardware stores whenever I need plants and such, but I just can't help loving Home Depot. Recently, upon purchasing a spiffy new lawnmower, it turned out to be broken right out of the box. That mower was returned and the next mower was broken in the same way. Turns out something happened when they were delivered to the store, so all those mowers were broken. They weren't about to let my lawn go unmowed another night, though. They suited me up with an even spiffier mower at no additional cost. And for as long as I've been going there, that's how it's been.
Now I have another reason to love Home Depot. They've teamed up with the non-profit org KaBOOM (whose vision is "a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America") to help create 1,000 playgrounds in 1,000 days. If you think your neighborhood could benefit from one of these spaces, go here to find out more.
