I just visited this site called MapMuse.com and it's a sort of community map effort. Anyone can edit it and add their favorite places and it's been used by folks to plot out car clubs, coffee shops, interesting architecture and all sorts of places across the United States.

Now they've got a family fun category where you can find things to do with the kids all summer long -- in your area or while you're on the road. In this category they have things like water parks, aquariums, children's museums, IMAX theaters, and my personal favorite: ice cream shops. If you visit, be sure and share the love by adding your own favorite kid-friendly spots so other families can enjoy.
