Canned Foods Recall

Sunday July 22, 2007
There is a large recall of canned goods going on right now because of a botulism risk. The initial recall this week included just a few brands of chilis and hash, but the expanded recall announced today lists many more brands. Some include Great Value (Wal-Mart), Kroger, Austex, Meijer, Piggly Wiggly and Steak and Shake. This is just to name a few -- the list is very long and canned stew, gravy, chili, hash and barbequed pork. Be sure to check your pantries for these foods as botulism is especially dangerous in young children.
