I'm pretty frugal and I know a lot of us are watching our money for various reasons -- high gas prices, diapers, college savings and retirement just to name a few. I made my own baby wipes. I used cloth diapers most of the time. I make my own compost. I save every little thing in the hopes that it will come in handy one day and save me from having to buy... I don't know what. Something!

Being frugal doesn't always mean being cheap, however. I'm not afraid to buy the generic version of something, but that doesn't mean I always do it. Old Navy is pretty cheap but if I wash a shirt a few times I expect it to be the same color. If I'd wanted a grey shirt, I would have bought one. The one I bought was black once upon a time. Do you know this feeling? So, it's nice to know that a place like Sears will back up their clothes and shoes. If your kid wears them out before they outgrow them, then Sears will replace them.
