Warming the Sheets

How many times have you gotten your baby to sleep only to find he wakes up as soon as you lay him down on those cold sheets?

One way you can take the chill out of those sheets is by using a hot water bottle. This can be especially easy to do if you have a bathtime/feeding/bedtime routine.

While you're running bathwater, go ahead and fill a hot water bottle with water of the same temperature and place it in his crib. After bath and getting ready for bed, take the water bottle out and cover the spot with a blanket to help retain the warmth. Then you can feed and rock him and when you lay him down, his bed will feel as warm as the body that just rocked him to sleep.

Do you have a tip you'd like to share with other parents? You can send your tips to me at babyparenting.guide@about.com and I will publish them here on the site.
