The Bottom Line

If you're looking for something that everyone will "ooh" and "ahh" over at the baby shower, this spoon is the thing. It's absolutely gorgeous and unlike engraved spoons, it's actually made to be used every day. This would also make a great "name tag" for holiday, shower or birthday gifts for a new baby.

Pros

  • Unique
  • Great gift or name tag for baby/shower gift
  • Can be personalized with baby's name
  • Can be used every day

Cons

  • Price
  • Personalization only up to 8 letters (sorry Elizabeth and Christopher)
  • Must be hand washed

Description

  • 5 1/2 inch stainless steel spoon
  • Hand sculpted wire holds beads around spoon handle
  • Can be personalized with baby's name

Guide Review - Beaded Things Baby Spoon

Moms Becki and Jen have put together a unique line of beaded... well... things. Jen says, "As mothers of busy toddlers, both Becki and I decided there had to be more to life than changing diapers, feeding babies, and stopping our kids from cutting their own hair. Beaded Things was born out of our desire to stay home with our wonderful kids yet not lose our sense of independence and creativity."

These spoons are definitely the work of creative minds and hands. Yes, they can be personalized with baby's name, but they are a such a far cry from the standard engraved baby spoon. These are beautiful, unique and best of all -- you can actually use it every day. This is not a gift that will just sit up on a shelf or in a drawer.

Hand washing is advised, but this was not a problem at all. I expected some goo would get caught in nooks and crannies, but an immediate rinse or warm soak kept that under control.

If you like the spoon, be sure and check out the other items these two moms have created.
