Guide Review - ParkerG Baby SunglassesMommy Paula Murphy protects her own eyes, so why wouldn't she do the same for her daughter, Parker Grace? Like most moms, she found that the traditional hard sunglasses were uncomfortable and just wouldn't stop falling off her head. She set out to find a better way. "While breastfeeding, I came up with the idea of wrapping soft fabric around sunglass lenses, and a few weeks later, I put together the first pair of ParkerG's for my daughter," says Murphy. "My intent wasn't to start a company but when I saw people's response to them, I knew I had filled a need." I absolutely love these glasses and I wish they'd been around when my son was little. He had a lens removed from one of his eyes due to a cataract present at birth and it was a struggle every day with uncomfortable straps and giant (usually ugly) hats. These glasses stay in place with a soft, comfortable, fabric-wrapped elastic band or are affixed to hats in cute designs for all seasons. They'll be a lifesaver for parents who want to protect their child's eyes out on walks, out to play or in the carseat. They're also durable enough to withstand getting packed in the diaper bag or sent to child care. |
