First things first - let's just figure out how to get your toddler to wear sunglasses in the first place. Toddlers can be extremely resistant to keeping anything even remotely new, different or uncomfortable anywhere on their bodies. One way to enlist your toddler's cooperation will be to involve her in the decision in the first place. Let her look at and try on shades at the store of check out images of other kids wearing shades as you're shopping online. And remember, you wouldn't let your child fight you about putting on sunscreen. It's for her own health and safety, so persevere and soon it will be a well-established habit. Your child will stop fighting you once she knows you're not giving in and ignoring this safety measure.

They offer 100% UVA and UVB protection and (bonus!) can be fit with prescription lenses if needed. Both lenses and frames are made of shatterproof polycarbonate for extra durability. These shades cost about $15, which is quite reasonable for how sturdy they are.

Baby Products Guide Heather Corley gave these baby and toddler sunglasses a five-star review. Her bottom line: "These baby and toddler sunglasses have soft foam frames, a Velcro strap in the back and polycarbonate lenses that give maximum sun protection with great impact resistance for safety. Toddlers will love that these glasses really fit and come in fun colors."
They also block blue light, so they're a bit like looking through those "Blue Blocker" sunglasses that came out in the '80s. It might take your toddler a little getting used to. At $10, however, it's worth it to be persistent.
