Peanut Butter Fudge

By Stephanie Brown, About.com

This fudge is great for folks who don't like chocolate or want to give their children a healthier alternative to traditional fudge.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation:

Mix milk, butter, salt and sugar in a pan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until mix reaches the soft ball stage. (A little of the mix forms a soft ball when placed in cold water.)

Remove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla.

Beat well and pour into a buttered 9 x 9 dish.

Allow to cool completely before cutting and serving.
