According to the CPSC, these Fisher Price 3-in-1 High Chairs (Product #P5369) are being recalled because "the seat can fall backwards from high chair frame if the booster seat release is unlatched while the child is in the product. Also, the seat back can detach if not fully snapped in place, posing a fall hazard and risk of serious injury to young children." Target sold these chairs from Dec. 2008 through March 2009 for about $100. One injury has been reported (a skull fracture) as a result of this problem.

Peanut Products from Peanut Corportation of America

There are a lot of products containing peanut butter that have been recalled because of salmonella contamination. These products were made from peanuts or paste that came from the Peanut Corporation of America. So many products have been recalled, the FDA set up a search function for consumers. UPDATE: Even with the search function available, though, keep in mind that now, months later, companies are still pulling their goods from store shelves. That means something you searched for this morning could be on the recall list tonight. Bottom line: A wait-and-see strategy could prevent an illness.
