These Toddler and Youth Nylon Bucket Hats are being recalled because the hat has a drawstring which can lead to possible strangulation. About 500 of these hats were sold for about $8 at Bass Pro Shops from Feb. 2007 through June 2007. No children had been reported injured at the time the recall was made on Aug. 29, 2007.

These hats were made in China and are described by the Consumer Product Safety Commission as, "A nylon bucket-shaped hat with mesh sides. There are nylon fabric strips on the side of the hat that snap up. The front of the hat has a zipper pocket with a silver boat-anchor appliqué with embroidered text below. The hat adjusts with a bungee drawstring sewn in the crown of the hat. A label sewn into the back inside of the hat reads Bass Pro Shops."
