Day 21 - - Take a Trip

Summer Fun

By Stephanie Brown, About.com

You don't have to plan an elaborate vacation to get a little bit of rest and relaxation with the kids. Try taking a trip somewhere nearby, or make a camping or cabin trip to a state or other area that is close to you.

When traveling, it's always a good idea to have a first aid kit around. Here are some items you'll want to have on hand:

  • Safety pins
  • Bactine, soap or other cleaning agent
  • Latex gloves
  • Gauze pads
  • Triangular bandages
  • Scissors
  • Medical adhesive tape
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Tweezers
  • Needle
  • Antiseptic wipes
  • Thermometer
  • Vaseline
  • Band-aids in various sizes
  • Ace Bandage
  • Bite/Sting kit
  • Anti-itch cream
  • Tylenol, Ibuprofen or other pain-relieving/fever-reducing medicine
  • Benadryl
  • Instant cold pack
