Day 24 - - Tie Dye
Summer Fun

By Stephanie Brown, About.com

Tie dying shirts or bandanas is a fun and creative process for kids. It's inexpensive (you can use shirts you already have or buy a pack of undershirts for about $5). Here are some basic instructions. And a tip - the first time I did this project with my son, he was three years old, and using rubber bands instead of string worked well for us. We also used a dye that you could put in a spray bottle to apply, which turned out to be lots of fun.

For the little ones who are too young to participate in the process, an alternative is to tie dye some onesies yourself or let the older kids or you can get some fabric paint and make shirts with baby hand and foot prints.
