How do you feel your blog benefits other parents?

I am dedicated to helping families shift from fear to love by providing daily tips, tools, articles and inspiration about conscious parenting, nonviolent communication and non-punitive discipline via my Blog, Facebook and Twitter.

Why I started my parenting blog

I profoundly believe that parenting is a relationship - first and foremost - and that traditional parenting has veered far from this foundation in favor of supporting unrealistic goals about child behavior. This has led to family disconnection and the unconscious erosion of the parent-child bond. Punitive discipline and verbal aggression in parents has serious repercussions for the emotional well-being of children.

What I love / What I hate about blogging about family

Besides being a writer and child advocate, I am a MOM and practicing what I preach is the best evidence I can give for why LOVE heals and why communication based in empathy is the optimal way to nurture your attachment and guide your children to become successful, happy, emotionally connected adults.

I love sharing information on brain science, child development and non-punitive parenting tools that build relationship which increases cooperation AND changes behavior!
