What did you enjoy most about breastfeeding?

My baby feeding time was much more different than what the doctor said but finally I got the hang of it. Even at night I had no trouble at all feeding her and I kept her close beside me. She always smiles at me as a thank you in the morning now and her cute smile always made me happy that I kept her healthy and fed her breast milk.

What was the hardest part of breastfeeding?

When my baby girl Kinza was born on May 30 of this year. I already felt so close to her and wanted to protect her from any harm. So instead of going with the formula that most new mothers choose I decided on going with the breastfeeding. On my first try the nurse had told me how to do it and she latched on perfectly well. After that my mom and my aunt helped me to latch on. I became a pro every time I had to feed in the hospital. Then when I got home I tried latching on and then I had a problem I couldn't make Kinza latch on. I got scared that I wasn't holding her right because there are positions you have to do to feed your baby. I read baby books for help but that didn't help either. When I finally got my baby to latch on I felt so much pain and I didn't know what to do. I tried the tea method it didn't help that much either. When the pain got more worse I dreaded feeding her and went with the formula one night. When I went to see my pediatrician they told me to keep trying to feed her by breast. I kept trying but the pain was more like a toe-curling pain because my breasts were torn or bleeding thank god but the pain just keep coming back. I would even sometimes stop while feeding her and I didn't understand how long I should feed her. My pediatrician told me that I should feed her 10 to 15 minutes each breast every 2 hrs.
