My Toddler's First Steps
- I can't really tell how happy I am when I first saw my kid made her first step. It's really is amazing. I even captured it to post in her photo album. As a remembrance of all her "firsts" and for her to see it when she grows up. It's so hard to raise a kid especially for a first-time mom, it really needs hard work and patience. But all your suffering will paid off when you see your precious little one growing up little by little. It's just so amazing! And for me, my child is already 1 year and 5 months old. Her speaking is really what I'm focusing now. And If ever I'll hear her say "I love you mommy!" Then I'm pretty much sure that my heart will jump because of pure joy! :)

way too soon!
- When my son was about 7 months old he began prowling around the house on his hands and feet and soon he was standing up in the middle of the floor without pulling himself up on anything. He would practice standing up from a squat and then lowering himself back down over and over for hours. Still, his Dad and I thought we had a lot more time. Right before bed one night when he was 8-and-a-half months old he stood up and just walked towards us, about 9 steps! We just looked at one another like, oh, NO!!! He was just BORN, wasn't he??? Once he had it, he had it and WOW. Dad and I had no idea what we were in for!! At 3 years now, I think the boy could climb a mountain AFTER running a marathon!

Different with each child
- With my first, we had been working with her quite a bit. Like, she was holding onto our fingers and walking and had been cruising for a long time. She'd stand and wave her arms around in the air for balance and stand alone, but her feet would stay firmly planted like they weighed a ton each. Her first steps were like first stomps. She picked up one foot really high and then dropped it, caught her balance and did the same with the other foot. Like a sumo wrestler getting ready to fight. Then she was done. She didn't take another step for weeks. With my second, he was like a bulldozer. His first steps were more like a first sprint. He launched off the couch with this wild look in his eye and was basically running toward his sister. His head was leading the way and when he reached her they both fell to the ground. He hasn't stopped running since.
