Graham Cracker Houses

My 2-year-old and I made and decorated Graham cracker houses over the weekend. Like gingerbread houses but so much easier! And today he helped cut out (and eat!) gingerbread boys. He loves watching the mixer and spreading frosting on everything.

Making Wreaths

Every year, I make holiday wreaths for my neighbors as gifts. I've been doing this for a long time, even before I had children. Now my children are involved in every step. We walk through the neighborhood and collect materials like pine cones, acorns and evergreen twigs. Then when we get home and get everything sorted out, I put the hot glue on and they place items or hold items down as I wrap it with wire or tie the big bow. They are just delighted when we go around and deliver them all. So proud of themselves and I'm proud of them, too. They point out each wreath hanging in the doors later on as we drive around. I hope it's a tradition they continue with my grandchildren one day.
