From the article: Make Snow Ice Cream
I just adore the snow. One of my favorite activities is to make ice cream out of the freshly fallen snow. Every time, my son was amazed at the transformation like it was some kind of magic. What are some of the things that you do with your kids when it snows?

Ramp Sledding

We all like to go snowboarding and we wanted to make a ramp out of snow but it didn't work. So we used our neighbor's bike ramp to snowboard off of it and it worked!!! But be very careful!!!

Skiing

We live in Winnipeg so we go skiing a lot. You can go to a park where they have paths or you can just make your own in your backyard.

Footprint Tag

Footprint tig / tag / whatever you call it, is basically the same as normal tag, but you are only allowed to run in other people's footprints. Simple but so fun!!! Hope I helped.

Snow Painting

I live in Montanna and I have two little cousins that live there, too, and they just love to snow paint. When it snows, all you need is a spray bottle and food dye in any color. All you need to do is fill the spray bottle up and a few drops of the dyd and mix it. Spray the snow (and be sure to dress warm.)

Making Snow Ice Cream

My family and I moved from Tennessee to Alaska when I was 10 and we are still here 30 years later. My mom has been making us snow ice cream ever since. Everyone knows we always have lots of snow here. My daughter loves eating snow and even makes rootbeer slushies out of it.

Sledding

We live in Illinois, so we get a lot of snow. We have sleds for the older kids but my toddler really just likes sliding down the hill in our back yard on whatever box is on its way to the recycling bin. She gets so excited when I say I'm taking the trash out because she knows she'll probably get a chance to sled. I just have to make sure I take the trash out when I have some energy to drag her and the box back up to the top of the hill!!!
