Sydney went swimming this last weekend for the first time. She loves the water but I think that the day had just been so busy that she only lasted for about thirty minutes before twisting off. We also took her to the zoo on the same day. I figured she was too young, but getting outside was the goal. I took her out of her stroller at the elephant exhibit thinking that since it was the biggest animal in the zoo and it was pretty close to us, maybe, just maybe she would see it and find it mesmerizing. But no, she didn't even see the BIG HUGE GRAY ELEPHANT 20 feet from us, but, she did see the tree next to her and put all her effort into seeing if she could get close enough to be able to put a leaf in her mouth.
We learned to turn from our back to our tummy a week or so ago. She now sleeps only on her tummy and if you lay her on her back, she flips over in about a nanosecond. The other night, I rocked her until she was asleep and laid her down in her crib. She started to immediately flip over so I held on to her jammies to see if in her sleepines, she would stay on her back but she eventually won the tug of war. But, the good news is that maybe now her bald spot on the back of her head will grow in.
She's rocking on all fours. We just started that on Wednesday.
No teeth. Not even a sign of teeth.
But, I'm in no hurry.
