10 Months Already!
She started clapping this past weekend and now when you sing "If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands," she claps her hands. It's way too cute. And I get way too excited about it every time she does it. Even after the 10 gazillionth time. She has also started saying her mamamamamas. FINALLY! Except, she only says it when she is really mad.
Unfortunately we are now at the age where it’s very hard to go out to eat or go anywhere in public. Now I know why some parents never leave the house. It's just way too exhausting. The grocery store is a nightmare and I hate the looks I get from people when I am trying to do two things at once while trying to keep my child from climbing out of the shopping cart seat. Have some patience people. I'm trying to raise a child here and the village was unavailable to come to the grocery store with me.
Well, we leave for Africa in two days. I'm nervous. I hate leaving her. But, as a once in a lifetime chance, I can’t turn it down. She's in great hands while we are gone and I have every confidence in the world that my parenting skills are completely in tact and I'm not in any danger of having my parenting card revoked.

You must tell us about the trip to Africa. I can’t wait to hear about it. I can’t believe she is a year old already. Where did the time go? I was thinking it was coming up but not this soon!!! UUGGHHHH!!
