I use Aquaphor to treat my infant’s diaper rash and it works great! You can find Aquaphor just about anywhere, from Walmart to Babies ‘R Us, and it’s reasonably priced. Aquaphor is a lot like Neosporin, but without the antibiotic. It was recommended by my pediatrician.
My son has an issue with highly acidic food and gets diaper rash quite often . . .I’ve found that using the prescription cream Nystatin and Maalox in equal portions works better than any OTC creams or ointments. Maalox seems to work by itself too, in less acute cases.
diaper rash is a HUGE issue at my house
My son has diarrhea all the time. We use triple paste and it is the only thing that will clear up his diaper rash! If it is really bad a few days of application will clear it up. If I can catch it when it first starts one day is all we need. Triple paste is expensive but it really works, I have tried everything that is less expensive and have never had the same success.
My baby got rash on her face by people kisses her… is that true? what kind of put those rash gets away?
This mom of 8 – that has wiped and pampered a lot of bottoms, really likes DRC Diaper Rash Creme by Xxtrium Labs. (www.diaperrashcreme.com) I have also done the baking soda baths, cold Maalox, and free bottom when things got really bad (only happened with our first child). Otherwise, we have always liked DRC and keep up our supply by ordering it online. We have yet to find a local store that carries it. Hope this helps!
