Ending the Dinner Battle

We tossed out high chair the other day. I loved the old-fashioned wooden chair. But it was time for it to go to the curb. It had served us well -- pretty much for 6 consecutive, non-stop years. But Little Guy was done and ready to sit at our very cramped table.

I thought we'd just gain some floor space, but transitioning my toddler out of the high chair actually had a big impact on Little Guy in several ways. For starters, he's eating so much more and so much better! That is good news, since I am always worried about him eating a well-balanced diet.

The best thing, though, is the serious drop in tantrums during dinner. He's also more cooperative about eating what's put in front of him and being less likely to be fussy about his food.
